That's gonna hurt!

Yesterday's New York Times business section story detailing the sorry path Mikey's taken to financial ruin didn't have much new to add for those who follow these things. Money, money, money, crazy, crazy, crazy, gone, gone, gone to Bahrain .... Jumping off from that, today's Roger Friedman column details for us once again the legal and personal pinches Mikey's still got comin'. There's the baby mama drama with Big Deb who's got a new legal eagle looking out for her rights as a parent and who could possibly be face to face with her former favorite dermotological patient as he's deposed about his role as a father to "their" children together. (I'm using quotes there as Daddy didn't really participate in their creation, you may recall.) Also looming are hearings regarding this issue on the 18th and 24th of May in Los Angeles. But there's more: Darien Dash's $48 million case is still ongoing, as is Marc Schaffel's $4 million case, which will go to trial on June 2nd. There's sad news, too: still no sign of the Katrina single. In fact the website for Prince Mo'money's 2 Seas Records, the label the single was supposed to be released under, seems to have gone 'poof!' To go to the site now is to be greeted by a brashly undecorous page, with a very unpromising message. Could this be signaling the final chapter in the Prince and Mikey's association? Still so many questions, so many possibilities. As we wait for further news let's ponder this picture of Mikey, helpfully provided by a fawning fan-site, and ask the question: How in hot hell did Mikey come up with the idea of wearing his snap-crotch Danskin over his pants?!
