World mourns: Mikey not dead...

Today's Friedman column begins with the rumored death of Mikey in Bahrain and ends with a roundup of his current financial situation and its implications for the future. Apparently, as his dealmakers were finalizing his latest not-really-that-great loan package, Mikey was supposed to have died overnight. Luckily a valet named Kerry was available to shake the slumbering pervo and ask if he was alive. He was, er, is. Alive. Sigh. (We imagine Kerry could've used a mirror to check whether there was breath emanating from Mikey's death-mask of a face but the staff's probably on orders not to hold mirrors up to their employer. That is unless they have a pic of Disney's Peter Pan taped over them.) Also in this column is more on the mother/son advisor team, the ones with the tenuous Johnnie Cochran connections, Mikey's latched onto of late — they should prove to be interesting additions to the long lineup of dubiously-motived associates willing to fleece him in the end. Rog ends the column saying that Mikey begins today with a "clean slate" and 25 million ways to blow it... read it here.
