Pssst! Wanna buy a used, er, useless logo?
Roger Friedman has been following the intrigue surrounding the auctioning off of Mikey's German logo and it appears it's on sale yet again. It seems the highest bidder last time around, a certain Angelo P., didn't really have the funds to purchase it so it's back on the block. Angelo had bid $100,000 US dollars but after the auction's announced end it was discovered that Ange was merely a delusional (and penniless) fan. Mikey fans: they love to emulate their idol, right down to spending money they don't have! As you can see the logo is quite attractive in an embroidered armband sorta way and it would look great on all kinds of Mikey related products. That is if there were any Mikey products to bestow it upon. Rog also gives a quick update on Mikey's whereabouts (still Bahrain, still the court jester's room under the stairs), Neverland is still shut down, the Marc Schaffel case hits the docket on June 2 (Pervy-poo can skip it, his taped and reportedly loopy depo will suffice), his financial sitch is still dismal (unless he hits the road he's broke still) and even his UK photo book has tanked, reaching only no. 5000 on Amazon UK! Oh, and that Katrina single we first heard about last September? Well, let's just pretend it never happened, 'kay? Read Rog's latest

thanks, floh, very interesting article... also interesting: i was talking to a friend of mine about mikey and she told me she knew someon who'd worked on the delusional 'history' video and that in the infamous scene where the monumental jacko statue is unveiled (before gaping, worshipful children) helicopters were to fly under and between the statue's open legs... and, as the children pointed and gasped in "ooooh, our messiah has arrived" wonder, sprayed (shot? squirted?) milk on them and into their mouths. she swore that her video chum said the scene was shot but pulled at the last minute by the label. for obvious reasons... an apocryphal tale? who knows?
i know... believe me, i've looked for evidence of this story and have not been able to find any online. my friends swears that it's true and that the producers and record label were loathe for it ever to be seen... maybe some day...
