Mikey spells relief: L-A-T-E-R-!

Ever since we first heard about the Michael Jackson Katrina charity single (for us it was September 6th, on Defamer) we've been skeptical to say the least... there were just too many things to doubt about it: the star lineup (Mariah! R.! Snoop! O'Jays?!), the recording venue (Prince Mo'Money's private Bahrainian studio?), the interest on the part of the American public ( crickets )... that's why the offical Lyin'-Sack-o-Meter was created to help us count the days in a visual way that this favorable publicity attempt on Mikey's part has really been for nought: no single, no one helped, no love directed Mikey's way...

Plus, we hear today that Mikey plans to release 20 singles between January to May 2006... don't worry, he's not releasing anything new: just the same shit in a different format. Read about it here.

Apparently the "tremendous difference to all individuals who have been affected by this tragedy" that the single would make (as Raymone Bonehead said in her initial announcement) has now been forgotten in favor of Mikey's own selfish interests. Again.
